The History and Aesthetics of African Jewelry

While doing my undergraduate work in Art Education, I had the opportunity to study the history of African Art. I found myself very interested in the uniqueness of various groups from the many regions. I teach elementary art in kindergarten through fifth grade, in a predominantly Afro-American school. Here is the perfect opportunity to share the history of their heritage with them. I will build up around them what is already there, history and beauty.
